Using my p3 laser and i get to about 75% complete of a project and my laser stops firing but continues to run program. Any help is appreciated.
21 hours ago7100Does anyone know how to cut at a 45 ° angle? I am using the Thunder Nova 63 laser cutting machine. I would like to know if there are any ways to achieve cutting angles on materials such as wood and acrylic?
11-1412220I have the latest update on windows and lightburn (v2.0.04). Ran the “Calibrate Camera Lens” with no issues but running the “Calibrate Camera Alignment” I get a dark image after pressing “Capture Image”. I’ve unplugged camera, restarted lightburn, restarted computer with no help.

This article will share practical tips from basic to advanced systems, aiming to assist you in optimizing the cutting process and achieving a dual improvement in efficiency and quality.Step ...
a day ago7400Positive focus cutting is a technique that precisely sets the laser focus on the top surface of the workpiece. The core principle is to make the light beam form a larger spot at the bottom of the material, thereby enhancing the oxidation reaction involving oxygen. This can significantly improve slag discharge efficiency and reduce slag adhesion. Th...
11-1212522Negative focus cutting is a key technology in laser cutting, particularly adept at processing medium thickness carbon steel. Its characteristic is to place the focus inside the workpiece, which broadens the cutting surface. The core advantage is that it ensures better cutting surface smoothness while improving cutting efficiency. The difference be...
2 days ago6900I have an AtomStack 5 (5W) and GRBL software. When I turn on the laser to find the center point of a circular wooden block, the laser burns the wood before starting carving. Does anyone know the reason?
11-1313630Laser cutting technology, with its wide applicability, has penetrated into many industrial fields. In practical operation, the selection of auxiliary gas has a decisive impact on cutting quality, processing efficiency, and the final product effect. Whether it is carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum or brass, selecting the appropriate gas can sig...
11-1415000I am cutting the end caps of some aluminum cans using the latest version of LB software (2.0.04) and my rotary chuck. All components are horizontal, tangential, vertical, etc. - I have checked repeatedly because on my first attempt, I found that after rotating the chuck once, the cutting lines did not coincide again. This left me puzzled, so I tried...
11-1116920I am working on a lantern. Specifically the top and bottom. It has an outline to cut. An then the slots inside that. I worked out the kerf. And tested using a standalone slot. Worked fine.Originally the slots and the outer cut were on the 00 layer. I applied the kerf to the 00 layer. Cut and the kerf had no effect. Worked all day playing with it an...
11-1212810Laser cutting has become the preferred process in the field of carbon steel processing due to its high precision, high efficiency, and wide applicability. However, in order to obtain clean incisions, reduce burrs, and ensure overall cutting quality, it is necessary to carefully optimize the cutting process. This guide will provide key optimization ...
11-1311200I am trying to burn a plaque with a large image. I have used a shape to crop the image, then rotate it as I need. The rectangular extents of the image are outside of the work area. The truncated/cropped image is FAR from outside the image. I cannot for the life of me get the job to send, despite none of the area that is outside the bed containing a...
11-1019420cutting a square 5 x 5mm it cuts it at 4 x 5mm, it works fine when I disconnect the R5 looks like something to do with the Y axis
11-0717930I downloaded a project where there were two parallel cutting lines at a distance of 0.30 mm and the other two were at a distance of 0.23 mm. In the first case the laser made two lines and in the second it did not make a cut. I remember reading somewhere that there is a setting that determines the minimum distance when the laser takes two lines as o...
11-0815120Fiber laser cutting technology, with its excellent speed, precision, and efficiency, has become an important pillar in the field of modern metal processing. However, relying solely on the performance of the equipment itself is not enough to ensure continuous clean and high-quality cutting results. To achieve stable and excellent cutting performance...
