I have used the pencil tool before while turning off snap to objects to draw around an object, then edit it with node editor. Worked perfect. Now I cant get anywhere with tracing an object with the pencil. The line just disappears when I let go of the mouse button. It’ll draw a line, but it goes away when you let go. Any help for this newbie would be appreciated.
How are you using the tool? Try this: 1. Select pencil tool 2. Click once where you want to start drawing making sure you release the mouse button after the click. 3. Move to second position and click once, again releasing. 4. Continue until you are done drawing. 5. Then finish by either closing the drawing by clicking again at the starting position or by pushing Esc key.
