Hi, I used to do hundreds of lamacoids for a customer that I had. He would send me a Excel spreadsheet that I would import into AutoCad, save as .dxf and then import it for engraving/cutting. The top layer of the lamacoid is very thin (.003"). You need to take very little off. At the time, I was using a CO2 60 watt machine and my settings were approximately 800mm/s and power was around 35%. I think you are going a little too slow. Try increasing the speed and power and see if your results are and better. Also, I used WD40 to clean the lamacoid. Worked amazing.
Rajiv001AuthorHey Payson, Thanks for the tip, we assumed that we were going too fast and that’s why it was missing bits. The max speed on K40+ is 300 mm/s so I changed it to that and put power to 22.5%. We were originally testing on the fill setting, but because we were going too slow it was burning passed the edge and giving us wobbly letters. Final settings were: 1 pass, 300 mm/s, 0.03 mm interval, 22.5% power on Fill
