Why does the RDV6563FG-NET controller generate a machine protection alarm when processing the motherboard?

8C6EBF8A

I have a fiber laser cutting machine with a ruida controller RDV6563FG-NET. Today, I was operating normally for processing, but suddenly a machine protection alarm occurred, causing the processing to stop. I know this machine alarm is a common problem, but I cannot find the cause. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

After enabling the machine protection function in the manufacturer's parameters, when the motherboard detects that the machine protection input (universal input port I8) is high or suspended, the motherboard will generate an alarm for machine protection. If it is in processing, the processing will be paused. Eliminate the alarm fault before continuing processing, otherwise it will not be possible to continue processing.

  • It may be caused by unstable or low voltage. Check if the power input voltage of the controller is normal. If the power supply voltage is unstable or below the specified range, it may trigger a protection alarm.

  • The controller may detect current overload or short circuit, causing the protection mechanism to be triggered. For example, when driving a motor or other load, if the current exceeds the preset safe range, the controller will automatically trigger a protection alarm to prevent damage. I suggest you check if the motor, driver, and power connections are normal, if there are any short circuits or abnormal currents.
