How to solve the abnormality of Z-axis of RDC6585G controller?

7760F7A1

I have a CO2 cutting machine equipped with a Ruida controller, model RDC6585G. I encountered a strange phenomenon: when I press Z- or Z+ for a longer duration (about 3-4S), the Z-axis will keep moving downwards or upwards; pressing for a shorter duration works normally. Is this a normal phenomenon? Or do I need to adjust something? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

In the manufacturer's settings, check the Z-axis parameters, mainly the maximum speed, takeoff speed, acceleration, and emergency stop acceleration that have not been adjusted properly. Please readjust them.

  • The Z-axis has two behaviors: "jog" and "continuous jog". Short press Z+/Z-
→ The controller performs a small jog step and stops once it moves

Long press for about 3-4 seconds or more
→ The controller automatically switches to continuous jog mode,
As long as you don't let go, the Z-axis will keep moving up or down
