Recently, Aerotech Inc., a global leader in precision motion control and automation, launched the HexGen HEX150-125HL miniature hexapod motion platform, a six degree of freedom (DOF) precision positioning system. This compact and cost-effective hexapod sports platform has a base diameter of 150 millimeters and a nominal height of 125 millimeters. It can achieve a minimum incremental movement of up to 15nm and a payload capacity of up to 12kg. It is suitable for applications that require multi degree of freedom movement, especially those with narrow operating environments.

The advanced features and functions of HEX150-125HL include a maximum speed of 30mm/s and 30 °/s, a sturdy and durable design, and excellent peak to peak repeatability over a large range of travel. Its simple dual cable connector design allows for easy installation and direct integration with our motion controller, ultimately achieving seamless coordination with other motion axes.

Aerotech product manager Brian Fink said: The market is very interested in our latest hexapod sports platform, and so are we. HEX150-125HL provides users with a compact and sturdy platform, reliable six degree of freedom movement. This hexapod sports platform comes standard with guaranteed peak to peak performance, competitive price, and high cost-effectiveness. In addition, when combined with our powerful Automation 1 motion control platform, it can be easily integrated with other motion axes.

The HEX150-125HL miniature hexapod motion platform is suitable for various applications, including:
Manufacturing and testing of silicon photonic devices, optical inspection, alignment coupling, photonic device operation and advanced packaging, optical wafer detection, electro-optical testing and identification, and many other high-precision manufacturing and testing applications.
