Recently, the discussion on "miniaturization" in the domestic laser industry has become increasingly heated. From various exhibition venues, miniaturization and lightweight have become important display directions for fiber laser manufacturers.

High energy and miniaturization have become new trends

In the past few years, high-power has undoubtedly been the main development direction in the field of fiber lasers, and major laser manufacturers have also launched related products. In just a few years, the power of fiber lasers has rapidly advanced from the kilowatt level to the ten thousand watt level. 12kW, 20kW, 30kW, 40kW, and 50kW fiber lasers have been launched one after another, and the 85kW fiber laser cutting machine has just been released.

From the perspective of industrial development trends, with the continuous improvement of fiber laser power, miniaturization is becoming another important direction. The reduction in volume and weight of fiber lasers can make it easier to integrate them into various industrial production processes, greatly improving the efficiency of the manufacturing industry.
In addition, the miniaturization of fiber lasers also means that they consume less energy and generate less heat, which is in line with the current trend of green and environmentally friendly development. At the same time, miniaturized fiber lasers are also easier to achieve automation and intelligence, which can significantly improve user processing efficiency, reduce operating costs, and thus enhance market competitiveness.

In the early days, the improvement of laser power mainly relied on module stacking and beam combining technology, which can be considered as sacrificing volume for power improvement. At this stage, laser manufacturers and end users only focus on product power, cutting ability, and other indicators, with little attention paid to the volume of lasers and processing equipment.

This also leads to the increasing volume of fiber lasers as the power continues to increase, significantly increasing transportation and usage costs. Subsequently, in order to further improve the power level, fiber laser manufacturers successively launched higher power single mode products, resulting in a decrease in product volume.

Since last year, the trend of miniaturization of fiber lasers has begun to emerge, and this trend has become very evident at the Shanghai Optical Expo in Munich this year. Compared to the past, the larger the size, the better. This year, the products showcased by major manufacturers have become smaller and smaller, and miniaturization is also considered a manifestation of manufacturers' technical capabilities.

The emergence of a new generation of 3kW small volume single module lasers

In order to meet market demand, as a representative manufacturer in the domestic fiber laser field, Jiepu Te has also launched a new generation of 3000W small volume single module lasers. Compared to the old version of laser products, the volume has been reduced to 44%, and the weight has been reduced to 50%. In terms of appearance, the key switch has been removed, making the overall appearance more concise. At the same time, the QBH spring protection ring has been retained, which can effectively protect the laser output head and make the structure more compact and compact. It is suitable for special environments with more space and weight limitations, and meets customer requirements for different scenarios.

For fiber lasers, reducing their size can further expand their usage scenarios, but as core light sources, stable power output is also crucial. The new generation of JEPT 3000W small volume single module laser reserves 10% -15% power redundancy, which can automatically adjust feedback in real-time to maintain long-term stable power output of the laser and prolong its service life. In addition, by adopting multi-stage power correction, the linearity of the laser output power is high, with an offset of less than 3%, and the product consistency is higher, which is more evident in high-end applications.

By adopting a new design concept, the performance of the new generation 3000W small volume single module laser of Jept is even better, with an analog output optical response delay of less than 50 μ s. Enable and modulate signal output light response delay less than 10 μ s. Faster response speed and higher adaptability in special application scenarios such as high-speed and high-frequency.

In addition, the new version of the product has more comprehensive functions and can provide power feedback through external control lines and network ports, making it easy to monitor the working status of the machine. And the range of light output power is adjustable from 1% to 100%, and normal light output can be achieved when the power is below 10%. Meet the needs of low-power application scenarios and achieve multi-purpose for one machine. The gradual increase and decrease of energy at the beginning and end can be freely adjusted by the upper computer, further meeting more application scenarios. At the same time, the laser monitors and displays the actual output time, facilitating the calculation of actual production efficiency and further improving the user experience.

Small and powerful, meeting more application needs of customers
In recent years, the domestic fiber laser industry has performed very well. Although it has been affected by the epidemic and economic slowdown, it has surpassed foreign manufacturers in market size and is accelerating the realization of domestic substitution. Behind this, in addition to the continuous maturity of the domestic industrial chain, rapid discovery and corresponding market demand have become important boosters.

Essentially, high-power and miniaturization are all aimed at improving user processing efficiency and reducing operating costs, which is also the underlying logic behind the rapid growth of the domestic fiber laser field. The release of the new generation 3000W small volume single module laser from Jeep further integrates and compacts the product structure while ensuring high-quality power output, further enhancing the processing capacity of users per unit area. At the same time, the output range of 1% -100% power is adjustable, and the characteristics of normal light output below 10% power also enable users to meet different application needs through a single laser, further expanding the usage scenarios of the device.

Nowadays, with the continuous application and popularization of high-power fiber lasers, the trend of replacing traditional processing methods is very clear. The focus of users on lasers has shifted from power to processing quality and overall efficiency, which requires laser manufacturers to continuously optimize product performance and design to create more value for users.

As a core manufacturer of domestic fiber lasers, in addition to continuously delving into the field of core laser light source technology, Jept has become a "hidden champion" in multiple global segmented fields, such as MOPA pulse fiber lasers, laser resistance adjusters, optical precision testing equipment, etc., all of which are inseparable from its customer-centric philosophy. In the future, Jeep will also continue to provide customers with more competitive solutions!
