How to install rotating accessories?

Generally you unplug the Y axis stepper either at the motor or the control board (Depending on the cable that came with the Rotary) and plug it in or plug into it.
You may need to put the engraver up on "Stilts" (in my case 15oz Cans of Veggies work well) to get the proper focus .
Now that said there are two types of Rotaries One is a pair of rollers and the object rests atop them and friction turns.
The other is like a Lathe with a chuck that holds the object to be engraved.
In my case due to dual Y drive I move the X lead to the Rotary and position so the work is aligned along the Y axis.

  : If you have done all of that, then it sounds like your rotary may have different wiring order on the motor.
