Sept 23In an effort to maximize the work area, occasionally people reduce the ‘pull-off distance’, the setting under $27, to the point where the engraver can’t back-off enough to deactivate the switch. If pushing the switch with your finger works to stop homing in that direction each time, the Alarm can be caused by this setting. Additionally, it could be that the engraver can’t reach the switch because it’s too far back from the rail.
: I think I got it. Would you believe the X axis energy chain carrier was barely touching an air assist hose an this sensitive SOB was being pushed off the limit switch before it was ready? I guess I did a better job of lubricating it, than I thought. I ground a notch in the carrier bracket so it is not touching the hose, ran several homings and it is not failing to home now. Thanks for your time Sir.
