Lost settings after use 1 day, gone the next day

I used the software one day and engraved several plaques. Not sure if I shut completely down or not but when I opened lightburn the next day all my settings were gone. All my recent files in the “recent Files” list and it reset the bed size and speeds. Just like I was starting all over again. I am running 1.4.0 version. Now when I pulled up a file that I have engraved about 40 times, it is burning much lighter. The speeds and power % were not changed. Is there some setting that I am not thinking of that my need to be adjusted?
Is the diode laser losing its power or at the end of its life span?

      You can recover previous settings by importing a prefs file.

You may want to search the hard drive for ‘lbprefs’ so you know where they are stashed.
LightBurn saves lots of these so this should work nicely for you.

In LightBurn, click File, click Import Prefs and choose one of the lbprefs files from when things were working well for you.

There’s been an ongoing concern with LightBurn and files on shared internet (or cloud) storage and occasionally with external drives. Please save work to a local unshared directory. After you close LightBurn, copy files back to shared storage with a Copy or drag-and-drop.
