Adjustment measures for Z-axis reset error in fiber optic cutting control system

During the operation of fiber laser cutting equipment, RDC6563FG, RDV6563FG-NET,  if there is an abnormality in Z-axis reset, the system interface usually prompts "System Reset Error". This issue will affect the normal start-up and processing accuracy of the equipment, so it needs to be promptly investigated. The common reasons and corresponding adjustment measures are as follows:

 

1. The Z-axis motor does not move normally or the movement speed is too slow
   During the homing process, if the Z-axis motor does not move, or the movement speed is too slow, the system will not detect the completion signal within the specified time. As a result, the system will trigger a timeout protection and exit the homing process, displaying a reset error. In this case, first check whether the Z-axis motor and driver are working properly. Confirm that the motor wiring is correct, the driver has no alarm status, and the power supply is stable. Then enter the controller parameter settings to check the Z-axis related parameters, such as maximum speed, acceleration, and homing speed. Ensure that the parameters are properly configured so the Z-axis can complete the homing movement smoothly and stably.

 

2. Incorrect motor movement polarity setting
   If the movement polarity (direction) of the Z-axis motor is set incorrectly, the motor will move in the wrong direction during the homing process. This may trigger the lower limit switch, causing the system to detect an abnormal signal and immediately stop the homing process while displaying an error message. In this situation, enter the system parameter settings to check the motor direction or polarity parameter of the Z-axis, and adjust it according to the actual movement direction of the machine so that the homing motion moves toward the correct upper limit direction. At the same time, the limit switch should also be checked to ensure it is functioning properly and installed in the correct position to avoid false triggering. By correcting the motor direction and parameter settings, the Z-axis homing function can return to normal.
