Rutronik has expanded its optoelectronic product portfolio by introducing green and blue laser diodes packaged in metal cans TO38 and TO56 using AM OSRAM. They leave a deep impression with improved beam quality and stricter electro-optic tolerances. The power level of the laser diode ranges from 10mW to 100mW. Diodes such as PLT3 520FB and PLT5 450GB are now available on the market.

The flexibility of two shell options and different levels of optical power provide developers with the best choice for planned applications. Although the TO38 casing is particularly suitable for limited spaces, the TO56 model is a standard configuration for industrial environments.

To ensure eye safety, the green laser diode in the TO56 housing includes an integrated photodiode for monitoring and controlling light output power.

The blue laser diode PLT5 450GB provides a light output power of 100mW, with a typical emission wavelength of 450nm.

The green laser diode PLT3 520FB provides an optical output power of 50mW, with a typical emission wavelength of 520nm.

Typical application examples include equipment and tools, outdoor and industrial lighting, and projection.

  • From Fiction to Reality: Laser Cutting Technology Has Entered the Shipbuilding Industry

Laser cutting is a type of metal processing. In industry, there are three main cutting methods: mechanical cutting, thermal cutting, and a set of high-precision cutting methods. Laser technology belongs to the third category. The cutting in this method occurs due to the influence of the laser beam on the product. In fact, it is the molten metal produced by rapid pulse point melting and then blowin...
