Recently, German company Tongkuai invested 13 million euros to open its headquarters in Southeast Europe in Hungary and jointly established a digital network demonstration factory in the Gothler Business Park. Its business focuses on machine tools for digital manufacturing and laser sales for batteries and other automotive components.

Nicola Leibinger Kamm ü ller, CEO of Tongkuai, said, "It is expected that the company's sales market in Hungary will continue to grow in the next few years. The key to success is to pay more attention to the importance of cross-border cooperation. This investment has also expanded the company's business in Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Türkiye“

In the demonstration factory of the new company, Tongkuai showcases to customers many digital connected lasers and machines used by industrial departments for metal processing. By the mid-20th century, Tongkuai is expected to generate a total sales revenue of over 100 million euros in these markets.

Hungary is a production base for German automotive brands and suppliers. In addition, the company's laser is also used at the factories of Korean car battery manufacturers producing for the European market in Hungary.

The total investment for this fully equipped new factory and digital network demonstration factory is approximately 13 million euros. Currently, Tongkuai employs approximately 90 employees in Hungary. The digital network solutions of the factory include systems for flexible sheet metal production and laser equipment, product portfolio includes entry-level machines for cutting, bending, or welding sheet metal, as well as high productivity intelligent factories.

Fast lasers are particularly used in the automotive and electronics industries. For example, Tongkuai's green laser has been widely used globally as a leading technology for copper welding in high-performance electronic equipment for electric vehicles. In addition, the company is also a leading supplier of 3D printers for the production of dental restorations.

The Hungarian general manager of Tongkuai stated, "With this demonstration factory, we can better serve the Eastern European region in the future. Digital network solutions make manufacturing more efficient and sustainable. This has improved our customers' competitiveness.
