1. Check the homing speed settings in user parameters
   First, enter the controller’s user parameter interface and verify whether the X-axis homing speed is set too low. In some cases, during debugging or due to accidental changes, the homing speed may have been reduced, resulting in noticeably slow return-to-origin movement. Confirm that the speed setting matches the machine’s normal operating standard. If necessary, increase it appropriately within the safe operating limits of the motor and mechanical structure to avoid impact or step loss caused by excessive speed.

 

2. Check the X-axis limit switch and mainboard limit indicator
   Inspect whether the X-axis limit switch is properly installed and whether there is any looseness or abnormal triggering. Observe the limit indicator light on the mainboard to see if it turns on prematurely during the homing process. If the limit signal is abnormal or affected by interference, the controller may automatically reduce the homing speed to protect the machine, which results in slow movement. Check the limit wiring, shielding, grounding, or replace the limit switch if necessary.

 

3. Check whether unused axes are enabled for homing in manufacturer parameters
   Some machines do not physically use a U-axis, but the manufacturer parameters may still have “Enable Homing” selected for it. During the homing process, the system may wait for confirmation from the U-axis signal, indirectly affecting overall homing efficiency. Enter the manufacturer parameter interface and ensure that unused axes are not enabled for homing. Save the parameters, restart the machine, and test whether the homing speed returns to normal.
