6445G output problem

8EFCC2EB
90W CO2 laser single tube retrofitted with Ruida 6445G controller, started having the following problem:

Output power of laser varies only up to about 25%, and beyond that stays constant.  That is, 50% power setting will provide same effect as 25% output, same for 100%.

Measuring output to laser power supply (GND to LPWM1):
15% = 0.730
25% = 1.230
50% = 1.230
etc.

The controller is not outputing power level signal exceeding the 25% instruction.  I have confirmed that Vendor Settings\MaxPower - 99%.

Questions:
1 - Anything I can try to fix this problem?
2 - Can I try LPWM2 output to run my single tube, in case this is a hardware fault specific to the L1 output?  If I enable L2, disable L1, and wire to LPWM2 will all output automatically go to laser2?  I drive this laser form both the console via saved files and from Lightburn over USB.

  • Hello! 1. Test the CN5/CN6 port GND/PWM of the laser output signal of the control card, when the power value in the processing parameters is modified after importing the file, different numerical voltages are displayed differently, and the processing process will fluctuate up and down, which is normal. 2. When the laser tube is a single tube configuration, if one of the CN5/CN6 laser ports is problematic, the other port can be used. 3. If there is a problem with the control card port, it can only be repaired by returning to the equipment manufacturer for repair, and the control card hardware cannot be repaired by itself. 4. The laser power can be set directly on the control panel through the saved file, or it can be downloaded and saved to the control card after modification in the software processing parameters, and the processing can be performed directly in the panel file.

Attempting to use the second laser output. I have: - Moved the connection block from CN5 to CN6 - Changed Vendor Settings/Laser Para to disable laser1 and enable laser2 - Edited Lightburn Device Settings to enable laser2 - Selected laser2 for a test cut layer However, I get no laser output. Am I missing something in the process to use laser2?

    • There is no need to disable the laser 1 setting, set the laser configuration to multi-tube test, and use a multimeter to measure whether the laser voltage and signal output are normal during CN6 port processing. If the laser output of the control card port is normal, it may be a laser or line problem.

Enabled laser2, connected multimeter to CN6 GND/LWPM2, used Pulse to fire. 205, 50%, 90% all show 2.493 VDC output. Is this test sufficient to confirm that my 3 month old 6445G has failed in some way?

    • Is the voltage output of GND/L-AN2 fixed at 2.49V during machining? Are there any changes?
