I have a small issue

I’m sure something got ticked or un-ticked.
I want a small line of text in a small arch. When I select it, and click on the blue dot and move ever ever so slightly, the text just jumps wayyyyyyy more than I need.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I’ve moved text like I wanted in the past, but not today.

      Pull the blue dot wider away from the text before trying to warp text. That will give you more fine control of the amount of warp.
