I have a fiber laser device that is paired with the RDC6563FG control system. As I was about to start cutting, the screen displayed a prompt saying "Encoder Error" and the machine emitted a short alarm sound. Can someone help me analyze what caused this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check whether the encoder signal is affected by external electromagnetic interference (EMI) during transmission.
Inspection steps:
Check signal line shielding: Ensure that the encoder signal line has good shielding to avoid external electromagnetic interference.
Avoid interference from high-power electrical appliances: If there are high-power devices (such as high-power motors, welding equipment, etc.) near the equipment, try to avoid them crossing or being close to the encoder signal line.
Try using a higher quality signal cable: If you suspect that the signal is unstable, you can try replacing it with a high-quality shielded signal cable.






The most common cause is a loose, damaged, or poorly connected encoder cable. It’s a good idea to check the wiring from the motor to the driver and from the driver to the controller to make sure everything is secure. Also check whether the motor driver is showing any alarms or power issues. Sometimes an emergency stop, a collision, or a sudden power loss can put the driver into protection mode, and simply restarting the machine can clear it.
