2023-05-17Your 7 Watt diode laser, which is probably a 5.5 Watt diode, is not designed to be able to cut plywood and certainly not at this thickness. With a little luck, perfect focus and lots of compressed air and many rounds, it could succeed, but the result will be almost useless. Finishing takes a lot of time and everything is dirty. I speak from my own experience. Nb. there are some plywood series of 4-5 mm that even with my 60 Watt co2 laser I have difficuld cutting properly.
