Recently, Yamazaki Mazak, a well-known Japanese machine tool manufacturer, announced that it will unveil its economic laser processing star Optiplex 3015 Ez for the first time in the European market at the upcoming 2024 EuroBLECH exhibition.

This carefully crafted laser processing machine not only combines high-quality processing capabilities with affordable prices, but also aims to open the door to laser processing technology for more enterprises and promote industrial upgrading.

Mazak aims to showcase its outstanding capabilities in automation, high-power cutting, and high-precision processing through the Optiplex 3015 Ez, further illustrating how its laser processing and machine tool solutions work together with customers to enhance production efficiency and profitability.

This machine is designed for a variety of materials and thicknesses, integrating high-precision cutting, high mechanical rigidity, and reliability, supplemented by intelligent functions, greatly reducing setup time and optimizing production processes.

At the exhibition site, a 6-kilowatt Optiplex 3015 Ez economical laser cutting processing equipment will serve as the core of the integrated manufacturing unit, vividly demonstrating the complete manufacturing process from raw material storage to finished product delivery.

This unit also integrates the Mazak CST 3015 storage automation system, equipped with an efficient three pallet replacement system and eight shelves, achieving smooth loading of raw materials and convenient management of remaining boards. At the same time, the Mazak intelligent manufacturing unit robot sorting system accurately separates finished products and places them on pallets, fully preparing for subsequent processing.

The efficient operation of all of this relies on the powerful support of Smooth Line Controller software. This software is embedded in the CNC system, realizing the integrated management of the entire chain from order receiving, CAD/CAM programming to material processing, sorting, and finished product delivery. It can also provide real-time feedback of key production data to the ERP system, assisting in production scheduling and decision optimization.

In addition, Mazak will also showcase the Optiplex 3015 NEO fiber laser processing machine, with its 20 kW version serving as a high-performance representative of the NEO series. It will showcase its outstanding productivity and precision in processing large-sized workpieces (up to 1525mm x 3050mm) on site, while emphasizing its environmental characteristics.

The machine is equipped with innovative beam shaping technology and Multi Control Torch 3 cutting head. By precisely controlling the beam diameter, it not only improves the stability of cutting thick materials (up to 50 millimeters thick) (four times higher than traditional methods), but also significantly improves the bevel accuracy (over 80%), bringing users an unprecedented cutting experience.

One of the highlights of the exhibition will be the on-site demonstration of the linkage between Optiplex 3015 NEO 20kw and the new Friction Stir Welding (FSW) machine, showcasing a one-stop solution from laser cutting to FSW welding. The FSW-460V machine tool is designed to meet the challenges of FSW technology with its heavy-duty and high rigidity features. Equipped with a powerful spindle and high-speed rotation capability, it provides a solid guarantee for efficient welding of materials such as aluminum plates.

Gaetano Lo Guzzo, Director of Laser Business at Mazak Europe, is looking forward to this exhibition: "EuroBLECH is the ideal platform for us to showcase our innovative capabilities in laser processing. We are proud to introduce three cutting-edge solutions aimed at helping customers achieve productivity leaps and profit growth. Optiplex Ez is our pursuit of the perfect combination of economy and high performance, while Optiplex 3015 NEO redefines the standard of thick material cutting with its cutting-edge beam forming and Grand Cut technology.
