Marvin Panaco, a subsidiary of Spectris plc located in Egham, Surrey, UK, announced the launch of its new laser diffraction particle size measurement instrument Mastersizer 3000+. Mastersizer 3000+utilizes integrated artificial intelligence and data science driven software solutions, providing method development support, data quality feedback, instrument monitoring, and troubleshooting recommendations.

Size Sure is a new feature that allows for a more in-depth study of each sample, analyzing its steady-state and transient characteristics, ensuring repeatable measurement of sample size distribution, and providing more insights into other factors.

To obtain the highest quality data, the first step is to develop the correct analytical methods. SOP Architect is driven by machine learning algorithms, aiming to construct the best method for each sample and provide a guiding workflow. The embedded data quality guide is based on Marvin Panaco's suggestion to immediately mark issues when they occur, allowing users to correct their path and continue moving forward. Both of these features are designed to help deliver data faster and simpler than before, regardless of the user's level of experience. In addition, the method transfer between Mastersize 3000 and Mastersize 3000+is equally simple.

According to reports, Smart Manager connectivity can provide preemptive advice for any maintenance requirements, ensuring that each instrument operates optimally and minimizing any analytical downtime.
As an improved version of the Mastersize 3000, all the improvements included in the new Mastersize 3000+platform are aimed at attracting experienced laser diffraction particle size analysts and new users in industries ranging from mining to battery manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and pharmaceutical quality control.

Paul Senior, Product Manager of Micromaterials at Marvin Panaco, shared, "We are facing a daunting task of improving our market leading laser diffraction instrument, the Mastersizer 3000! But we have made significant strides, especially in the area of Mastersizer 3000+software. We are delighted to provide our customers with a more intelligent particle size measurement method. I am particularly pleased to see how Mastersizer 3000+, using cutting-edge integrated artificial intelligence, will simplify the way to achieve the highest quality particle size data, thereby having a positive impact on product research, development, and manufacturing worldwide.".

Mark Fleiner, President of Marvin Panaco, added, "I am delighted to see the launch of the Mastersizer 3000+, which is the undisputed successor to the world's most popular and trusted granularity analysis system! At Marvin Panaco, we are committed to continuous improvement and innovation, and are committed to providing support and empowerment to global customers. With the embedded artificial intelligence and data science in the new Mastersizer 3000+, we are pleased to see its positive impact on customer workflows, freeing them up time to continue making our world cleaner, healthier, and more efficient.".
