Solution to Scanning Shape Tilt in CO2 Laser Cutting and Carving Control System

Thomas

In the process of CO2 laser cutting and engraving, if there is a phenomenon of scanning pattern tilting, it is usually caused by setting problems between the control system or hardware. The following is a detailed description of common causes and solutions:

1. Controller and driver pulse edge mismatch
Cause: The pulse signal sent by the controller and the pulse signal received by the driver may not match in terms of the rising and falling edges, causing the driver to be unable to properly synchronize the motor's movement, leading to tilting or distortion of the pattern. This usually occurs when the signal settings between the controller and driver are mismatched.
Solution: Check the pulse signal settings between the controller and driver to ensure the rising and falling edges are correctly matched. If the pulse signal direction or timing is incorrect, adjust the settings in the controller software to choose the appropriate pulse mode (rising or falling edge) to correct the synchronization issue. After resetting, perform a test to confirm whether the pattern returns to normal.

2. Check for interference between the controller and driver
Cause: Electrical signals between the controller and driver may be subject to interference. In high-frequency operating environments, electromagnetic interference (EMI) can cause signal instability, which further affects the driver's response and leads to a tilted scanned pattern.
Solution: First, check if the cables between the controller and driver are loose, damaged, or too long. Use appropriate shielded cables to ensure that the signal lines are not affected by external interference. Additionally, check if the power supply to the controller and driver is stable, and add filters to the power supply if necessary to reduce noise. Properly route the motor cables to avoid crossing with high-voltage power lines or signal lines, reducing potential interference.
