Americhem announces launch of laser marking solution platform
Kuyahoga Falls, Ohio - Americhem, a leading global provider of customized polymer solutions, announced today the launch of its laser marking solution platform. This platform includes various masterbatch and engineering compounds, aimed at improving the laser marking performance of various polymer systems.

Developed to help OEMs meet growing traceability, compliance and product identification requirements, the platform delivers durable, machine-readable markings for applications in healthcare, transportation, building and construction, electronics and industrial markets. In addition to improving marking performance on challenging materials, the platform enables distinctly colored laser markings on dark polymer substrates, expanding design and branding possibilities beyond traditional monochrome laser marking.
As manufacturers face increasing demands for traceability and production efficiency, laser marking has become an important tool for permanent identification. Americhem's Laser Marking Solutions integrate high-contrast, machine-readable markings directly into the polymer, helping reduce reliance on labels, inks and other secondary marking processes.
"Traceability requirements continue to increase across healthcare, transportation, electronics and industrial applications," said Parminder Agarwal, Chief Technology Officer at Americhem. "Marking performance depends on how the material interacts with the laser system. By engineering that interaction directly into the polymer, manufacturers can improve consistency, reduce secondary operations and optimize marking performance for specific application requirements."
Traditional marking methods can introduce additional process steps, consumable costs and production variability. Americhem addresses these challenges through formulations engineered for polymer and laser compatibility, enabling high-definition markings on dark polymer systems while helping maintain color consistency and processing stability.
"Manufacturers are balancing production efficiency, material performance and product aesthetics at the same time," said Matt Miklos, Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Marketing at Americhem. "By combining formulation expertise with application-specific collaboration, we help OEMs simplify manufacturing workflows and improve marking consistency and brand identification across demanding applications."
Because marking performance depends on factors such as polymer chemistry, pigments, additives, laser wavelength and processing conditions, Americhem works closely with customers to optimize solutions for specific materials and end-use requirements.
