The reason for frequent laser emission during startup caused by using RDWorksV8 for processing

Jerome

When using RDWorksV8 for machining, if the laser often emits light automatically when turned on, it may be caused by the following reasons:

1. Correct laser selection
If the correct type of laser is not selected in the software, it may cause the laser to fire automatically upon startup. For example, selecting an incompatible RF tube or glass tube type may result in the controller erroneously sending a firing signal, causing the laser to fire on startup. Ensure that the laser type selected in RDWorksV8 matches the actual hardware, and that the RF tube or glass tube settings are correct.

2. Incorrect laser switch signal level mode for glass tubes
Glass tube lasers typically have two types of laser switch signal modes: high-level fire mode and low-level fire mode. If the signal level mode is incorrectly selected in RDWorksV8, it could lead to the laser firing on startup. Check the software settings to ensure that the correct signal level mode is selected for the glass tube, matching the hardware requirements.

3. Damage to the laser controller port on the mainboard
If the laser controller port on the mainboard is damaged, it could cause the laser to fire incorrectly on startup. A hardware fault may cause the control signal to malfunction, triggering the laser prematurely. In this case, check the mainboard and controller port for normal operation, and if damage is found, it may be necessary to replace the hardware.
