TRUMPF Group maintains its leading position in the industry through breakthrough innovations in the field of photonics

TRUMPF (Farmington, Connecticut, USA) has been honored with the 2026 Optica i4 Corporate Achievement Award. 

According to a press release issued by Optica (Washington, D.C., USA)—the world's leading professional society for optics and photonics—TRUMPF was selected from a pool of 30 nominees, all of whom were recognized as global leaders in the optics and photonics industry. TRUMPF is a global manufacturing technology company specializing in industrial lasers, sheet metal processing equipment, and industrial automation solutions.

“We are very pleased to receive this award from Optica," Hagen Zimer, CEO Laser Technology at TRUMPF, says. "It is a special recognition from the international photonics community and demonstrates that a spirit of innovation, responsible entrepreneurship, and close collaboration with our customers and partners pay off in the long run. “Together, we are developing technologies that make manufacturing more efficient, precise, and sustainable worldwide.”

According to the press release, the Optica i4 Prize recognizes individuals and organizations whose achievements reflect Optica's core values of innovation, integrity, inclusion, and impact, honoring leaders who have made lasting contributions to the optics and photonics industry through technological excellence, business leadership, and commitment to advancing the field.

"TRUMPF exemplifies the values that the Optica i4 Prize was created to recognize," Jose Pozo, Chief Technology Officer at Optica said in the press release. "For decades, the company has combined technological innovation with visionary leadership, creating transformative solutions that have advanced manufacturing, strengthened the global photonics ecosystem, and generated lasting impact across industries."

The award will be presented during the Global Photonics Economic Forum (GPEF) 2026, to be held in Málaga, Spain, on September 24, 2026.
