This decoupler is designed for GSO RC telescopes to reduce drag on the mirror cell and prevent decollimation during position changes. It supports heavy load image trains. Installation involves disassembling the back plate, removing the primary mirror, resetting collimation screws, and using a centering cap to align the decoupler. Screw holes are drilled and threaded for M6x1 bolts. An optional laser-cut washer from 1mm EVA foam can be added. The prototype is solid but use at your own risk.
