I want to burn objects and images together

I’m etching glass and I want the rotary to only spin one direction. I’ve drawn this image which contains both a text object and an image. Lightburn separates them in the cuts/layers window, even though they are both on the same layer. When I burn them, even though I have “fill all shapes at once” set on both layers, it draws the image and then rolls back to burn the text. Is there a way to make it burn all at once?
