Hi,

I have a RDC6563FG-LITE and the Manual is only in chinese and has not been translated to EN, I have used a translating service to translate the PDF but the translation is lacking and I have some questions about the controller.

2.4 - RS232

The RS232 serial port is mainly used to control fiber lasers. The interface definition is as shown in the following table:

1.  RXD The signal sending end is connected to the RX pin of the laser RS232 
2. TX The signal receiving end is connected to the TX pin of the laser RS232 
3.  GND

What is this used for?

Z Axis Servos

Which servo should I go for on the Z Axis? A lot of the options listed are discontinued products, will I be able to purchase newer versions from these vendors?

Z-axis servo driver type setting,
Class I: Panasonic A5, Fuji A5, Schneider 23D series;
Category II: Sanyo R, Yaskawa ∑, Leadshine L5Z series

          : Hi thank you for your response, I am aware of the RS232 for the wireless handle but there is another RS232 labeled terminal with only 3 ports which can be seen top right in the picture of the unit, and the Port for the wireless handle is at the bottom right of the board. If it is not important I can leave it disconnected, but it is just a little confusing.

          : The RS232 port in the upper right corner is reserved to set the peak current frequency, etc., to avoid the use of individual lasers that are not supported.
