LightSolver, a laser based computing company, announced that it is a breakthrough in quantum inspired high-performance computing.

Its LPU100 system utilizes the power of 100 lasers to solve optimization problems, challenging the processing time of quantum and supercomputers. The laser array of LPU100 represents 100 continuous variables and can solve up to 120100 combinations of problems, enabling organizations to enhance their business and engineering processes and make critical task decisions faster than before.

The computing capabilities of LPU100 can now be provided to selected enterprise customers through LightSolver's new cloud platform. This solution combines the innovative all optical hardware of LPU100 with the algorithm processing layer of LightSolver, bringing ultra fast results to enterprises in various industries to solve problems with up to 1M variables.

As a pure optical system, LPU100 overcomes the performance barriers of electronic devices and can perform mathematical operations at unprecedented speeds. For example, vector matrix multiplication is an operation in optimization and various other applications, where LPU100 can perform in just 10 nanoseconds, while GPU takes a few microseconds to complete the same operation. Another advantage of LPU100 is that it can run under environmental conditions and is comparable in size to traditional desktop computers.

"We are delighted to collaborate with LightSolver and begin testing test cases on their cloud platform," said Yoram Avidan, Chief Technology Officer and Global Head of Innovation Laboratory at Citigroup Accelerator, of which LightSolver is a member. "Undoubtedly, financial institutions will benefit from LPU100's powerful optimization and decision-making capabilities, which provide opportunities to increase revenue and reduce risk."

The main applications of LPU100 include:
Logistics: Optimize daily operations through real-time improvement of vehicle routes, scheduling and scheduling, warehouse optimization, and supply chain management.
Manufacturing: Improve the productivity of factories and warehouses by optimizing resource allocation, scheduling, assembly line balancing, and facility layout optimization.
Aerospace: Optimizing material design and enhancing decision-making intelligence, suitable for critical task processes that require ultra fast processing time.
Finance: Improve returns and reduce risks in key financial challenges, including portfolio management, transaction optimization, liquidity and risk management, as well as financial planning and budgeting.

"LightSolver provides unique and promising laser based computing capabilities through cloud platforms, providing a lower entry barrier for a wide range of advanced computing users, enabling them to explore this quantum inspired technology for the first time to solve their demanding task critical workloads," said Bob Sorensen, Senior Vice President of Research and Chief Analyst for Quantum Computing. Hyperion research.

The accuracy and performance of the LightSolver platform have been confirmed in multiple published papers. In recent benchmark tests, LightSolver generated the best solution for the vehicle routing problem within a fraction of a second, which is a classic optimization challenge in the logistics field, used to accelerate delivery and collection of goods, route planning, job scheduling, carpooling, and more. LightSolver's performance is superior to the industry's "gold standard", demonstrating the platform's ability to manage real-time plan adjustments in dynamic operations.

Dr. Ruti Ben Shlomi, CEO and co-founder of LightSolver, said, "LPU100 enables businesses to comprehensively optimize business processes and make better data support decisions, providing them with a competitive advantage. This technological achievement has been proven to be more scalable and practical than quantum computers and supercomputers. We are pleased to share its powerful capabilities with our customers through the cloud based LightSolver platform.".
