Lumibird signs a 20 million euro contract to provide laser rangefinders for airborne defense applications

Recently, European laser technology leader Lumibird announced the signing of a major contract to provide laser rangefinders for airborne defense applications.
The contract is worth approximately 20 million euros, adding to Lumibird's existing business in laser rangefinders. It covers the supply of over 100 laser rangefinders over a three-year period starting from the third quarter of 2024, as well as funding for increasing production lines.

This significant success in the field of defense will give Lumibird's laser rangefinder business visibility for several years. It also demonstrates the technological excellence of Lumibird Group products, especially in critical airborne applications. At the same time, the contract confirms the growing potential of laser technology in the field of national defense.

In recent years, the group has expanded its presence in Lannion (France), Villejust (France), and G? Teborg (Sweden) has made significant investments in its factory and expects significant growth in the coming years.

The laser technology provided by Lumibird Group is now deployed and used in many units around the world, for air, naval, and land-based applications, as well as simulation activities.
After the merger of Keopsys and Quantel groups in October 2017, Lumibird has over 1000 employees in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, with a revenue of over 191 million euros by 2022.
