My Raycus fiber laser has stopped working

My Raycus fiber laser stopped working. Actually, I do not think it ever worked correctly. I was never able to engrave metal with it.

I have been using it to engrave water bottles for a few months. I noticed that the engraving was getting lighter (not removing all the paint) after an hour or so of use. Suddenly, it would no longer fire. The red framing function still works.

I checked the power supplies. Everything appears ok except the 24V power supply fan does not spin. A red LED comes on when the laser should be firing. I tried to engrave coins but this function does not work. Meaning, it does not engrave the coin. Before, attempting to engrave metal only made the metal hot. It would not engrave then.

The 24V power supply reads 24.1V when firing.

Any thoughts?

      If your 24V supply fan isn’t working, that creates doubt… Fix obvious issues first. If the fan isn’t working the internals will heat up.
