Researchers have developed lasers that can be used for 3D stereoscopic machine vision

LASER COMPONENTS provides us with the FLEXPOINT ® MVstereo in applications such as machine vision, gesture recognition, depth sensing and volume measurement. It provides up to 100mW of output power at 660nm and up to 130mW at 830nm, while being a Class 1 laser. MVstereo lasers can be ordered with digital modulation or analog power regulation.

The module acts as a random pattern projector, capable of generating more than 33,000 points for 3D stereoscopic image processing. It provides a pseudo-random lattice pattern with 8 different patterns, with the pattern size and Angle varying with the combination of wavelengths. In addition to this, it can be provided with a fixed focal length and is available in 2 case options: standard 11.5 mm diameter or 19 mm diameter reinforced model.

This laser module is an excellent choice for different modes for applications requiring depth sensing or volume measurement. Combined with its different housing options and adjustable focal lengths, MVstereo is a reliable and effective 3D generator.
