Tool has started pre-sales for the F1 Ultra, a 20 watt fiber and diode dual laser engraving machine. OEMs have stated that it is a win-win product and its so-called "flagship" model.

Fiber lasers are mainly used for metal materials and usually work faster than diode lasers, but other materials have better performance when using diode lasers. F1 Ultra aims to bridge this gap by using a power of 20W to enable machines to not only cut or carve metal, but also to use diode lasers to cut or carve "almost all materials", including "wood, acrylic, leather, and cork", but at the "fast speed of fiber optics.".

XTool states that the machine is capable of "deep" carving, embossing, and cutting. It is still unclear how deep "deep" carving can reach (although an article on the xTool blog seems to suggest "a few millimeters"). It can also perform "depth" relief on brass, copper, wood, and stone, carving on surfaces up to 45 degrees, and color carving on metals. Compatibility with xTool's RA2 Pro means that rotary engraving can also be performed.

F1 Ultra is clearly targeted at small businesses, and given its powerful nature, it can be tracked. XTool identified in store jewelry carving and mass production as potential use cases, and referred to the device as the "largest desktop galvanometer carving machine ever" with a work area of 220 x 220 millimeters. The conveyor feeder crank sold separately can reach a maximum of 220 x 500 millimeters.

The function of the internal camera is to achieve what xTool calls "automatic simplification of production". xTool means that F1 Ultra automatically recognizes shapes and "intelligently fills" patterns through this function. Meanwhile, the complete casing can filter blue light and expel smoke, dust, and other smoke.

The booking for F1 Ultra is now open. Users who deposit $100 between now and May 28th can purchase the machine for $3799, which is a significant discount from the suggested retail price of $4799 listed for the machine. There is currently no news about the official delivery date, but the final payment must be made before June 12th.
