3D printers have become popular worldwide, allowing you to create useful and beautiful products. This has sparked a trend towards DIY, which is "doing it yourself," even driving popular pages such as Etsy in Spain. In fact, an economy has been established around these types of handmade products. But there are more devices that can help with these types of creativity.

The latest one is Xiaomi's invention, which is a laser engraving machine that allows you to create screen printing and design using different materials. It has been launched in China under the Mijia sub brand and is currently being reserved for a price of $249. They will be shipped from December 29th.

This machine is compact and elegantly designed, making it unnoticed. It has a black metal arm, a base for placing objects to be carved, and a head that never shows its true face at any time. This allows it to remain in a prominent position without making it look like we are in the workshop.

This machine uses a 450nm blue laser with a rated power of 3W. This makes it possible to carve on materials such as leather, solid wood boards, canvas, and plastic boards. Due to the use of point compression technology, it achieved vertical points up to 0.25 millimeters. This allows for high-precision carving effects, which are necessary for complex designs and exquisite materials.

The design will be uploaded to the Mijia application, which is the application that controls this device. By using a laser that burns the selected surface, no ink or printer is required, so only the energy required to activate the laser is consumed, while on the other hand, this does not consume too much.

This application allows you to create designs using text and assist in carving designs that were previously handcrafted and desired to be replicated in one or more products. It can be purchased online for $249, starting later this month, with a shipping time of approximately two weeks.
