Manual programming refers to the entire process from part drawing analysis to program verification being completed manually. Programmers need to be familiar with CNC code and programming rules, as well as possess knowledge of mechanical processing technology and numerical calculation ability. Manual programming is suitable for processing parts with less complex geometric shapes, as its programming for CNC bending machines is simple and easy to control. However, for complex parts, especially those with non-circular curves or list surfaces, manual programming may be difficult and prone to errors, making automatic programming a better choice.

Automatic programming is the process of completing most of the tasks in CNC machining programming through computers, including mathematical processing, machining simulation, etc. This method can reduce the labor intensity of programmers, shorten programming time, improve programming quality, and can handle complex part programming problems that are difficult to solve by manual programming for CNC bending machines. Automatic programming is mainly divided into methods such as verbal programming, graphical interactive programming, and speech programming. Graphic interactive programming is currently a commonly used method, which is based on CAD/CAM software to define machining graphics and set process parameters, and then the programming software automatically generates tool paths and CNC machining programs.

Specific operational steps
1. Startup procedure: Connect the main power supply, turn on the key switch to start the system, press the oil pump start button on the CNC bending machine to let the machine idle for 5-10 minutes, and check for any abnormal sounds or faults.
2. Enter the system: Familiarize yourself with the system pages and various functional keys, learn system parameters and program development.
3. Edit mold: Enter the height, width, and other data of the upper and lower molds, and save the mold information.
4. Single step bending operation: Enter information such as the width, thickness, and bending stress of the sheet metal, set the bending force and speed change point, and perform a single step bending operation.
5. Multi step bending operation: Press the automatic bending mode to gradually edit the bending parameters of each step of the CNC bending machine. After completion, press the start button to perform multi-step bending work.
