Recently, high-power blue laser manufacturer NUBURU announced the official launch of a working group consisting of a joint management team from the company and the target defense technology enterprise, which was part of the previous acquisition plan.

According to the joint research and development agreement signed by NUBURU in March, the working group will also be responsible for overseeing the development of advanced laser technology solutions designed specifically for defense applications, which is also part of NUBURU's strategic expansion in the defense field.

At present, NUBURU is awaiting approval from the Italian government under the 'Golden Power' regulation, which is a special review mechanism exercised by the government aimed at protecting national strategic industries and assets from foreign investment control, especially in areas related to national security and economic security.

It is understood that NUBURU is currently continuously researching how to develop and integrate its cutting-edge laser technology with the professional knowledge accumulated in the field of national defense. After the successful completion of the acquisition plan, the upcoming comprehensive strategy of the new Defense and Security Group will cover a rich portfolio of solutions, including customized vehicles and advanced electronic products designed for defense and civilian applications. The production of specialized vehicles such as armored transport vehicles, emergency response vehicles, and oil tankers will utilize their proprietary technology and components to meet the high-tech needs of modern national defense.

The senior management of NUBURU stated that we are committed to the strategic trajectory of providing advanced defense solutions, as reflected in our commitment to producing various specialized vehicles that have been carefully designed to support our military and civilian customers. Our plan aims to improve combat readiness and flexibility, while ensuring that our solutions can adapt to various mission situations.

In addition, the Defense Technology Strategic Plan aims to enhance NUBURU's ability to expand its electronic products in the defense and security fields, providing a wide range of system solutions including jammers and telecommunications networks. It is worth noting that the defense technology business is currently actively developing innovative strategies to protect personnel and infrastructure by deploying cutting-edge interference technologies.

Currently, NUBURU's focus on defense technology business has established a strategic partnership with a leading tactical ground mobility solutions provider in the United States, which is a significant development. Both parties will jointly produce a highly maneuverable vehicle aimed at rapid deployment in various military operations. This light tactical vehicle has extremely high speed and range, performs well in off-road conditions, and is designed specifically for carrying out various military missions.

This cooperation will enhance the combat capability of the Italian armed forces. The establishment of local production facilities by NUBURU in Italy will further simplify vehicle delivery and support processes, ensure robust continuity of the supply chain, and support defense plans.
As mentioned earlier, NUBURU's defense technology business currently has approximately 60 clients from seven countries and a large backlog of orders totaling $309 million, as well as an additional $181 million in options.
