When using laser handheld welding equipment, if the welding effect is abnormal and the temperature control alarm is frequent due to short-term heating, the following steps can be followed to troubleshoot and handle it one by one to ensure stable operation of the equipment:
1. Check whether the red light alignment is normal
The red light indicator is an important reference for welding positioning. If the red light is misaligned, the actual laser emission position may not match the displayed position, potentially causing localized overheating and triggering the temperature control alarm. Inspect whether the red light aligns with the laser spot, and adjust the red light module or recalibrate if necessary to ensure accurate marking.
2. Check whether the protective lens is damaged
The protective lens of the handheld laser welding head prevents dust and metal splashes from entering the optical system. If the lens is cracked, scratched, or heavily contaminated, it can affect laser transmission efficiency, causing energy to concentrate locally and triggering frequent temperature alarms. Replace damaged lenses promptly and keep them clean.
3. Check whether the focusing lens is contaminated
The focusing lens determines the laser spot’s energy distribution and focal point position. If the lens surface has dust, oil, or welding debris, it can cause spot misalignment or uneven energy distribution, leading to local overheating. Clean the lens using proper optical cleaning solution and lens paper, and avoid touching the lens surface with hands.
4. Check whether the collimating lens and wiring are normal
The collimating lens and related optical components adjust the laser beam into parallel light. If the collimating lens is loose or the wiring is disconnected, laser output stability can be affected, causing frequent temperature alarms. Also, check that the power supply and temperature sensor wiring are secure to ensure proper signal transmission and prevent false alarms.
