BLM Active tools help improve tube laser performance

BLM Group has added its patented Active Tools technology to its line of tube lasers. This technology helps the machine adjust the process parameters automatically. Each feature is designed to help operators and keep laser tubes producing parts as quickly and efficiently as possible, the company reports.

Active focus, active velocity, and active labeling are standard features of all manufacturers' tube lasers. Other tools, which vary in availability by model, address the availability of piercings, cutting head oscillations, bows and twists in scanning tubes, weld detection, and automatic loading of custom sections such as aluminum profiles and rolled molding shapes.
