On February 27, at Bodor Laser's global headquarters base in Licheng District, Jinan City, three automated production lines were operating at full capacity, struggling to meet the overwhelming demand. Lu Guohao, Secretary of the Board and Director of the President's Office at Bodor Laser, revealed that the company's laser cutter shipments exceeded 8,000 units in 2024, securing the top spot in global sales for the sixth consecutive year, with exports accounting for over half of the total, primarily to Europe and the United States.

Technological Breakthrough: From Dependency to Self-Reliance

Laser generators and laser heads are the core components of laser processing equipment, long constrained by foreign technological blockades, which kept costs high. Since its founding in 2008, Bodor Laser has achieved independent research and production of laser generators, laser heads, and operating systems through continuous technological innovation. The company has filed over 800 patents and mastered dozens of industry-leading technologies.

Lu Guohao explained that the company once abandoned its marking machines and CO₂ engraving machines business, which generated nearly 100 million yuan in annual revenue, to focus on the research and production of laser cutters. By achieving self-reliance in core technologies, Bodor Laser not only broke through foreign technological barriers but also significantly reduced equipment costs, benefiting numerous small and medium-sized enterprises.

High-End Breakthrough: From Localization to Internationalization

After achieving localization in mid-to-low-end equipment, Bodor Laser shifted its focus to the high-end market. In 2021, the company launched its first high-end product, but due to material and system stability issues, the equipment's precision fell short of expectations. To address this, Bodor Laser established a technology research institute in Shanghai to tackle system challenges. Currently, the company's high-end equipment is in the final stages of development and is set to enter the market, serving high-precision manufacturing industries such as integrated circuits and robotics.

Global Expansion: From Technological Strength to Cultural Influence

From its inception, Bodor Laser aimed to build its own brand and target the global market. In 2012, the company began showcasing its products at international exhibitions, integrating traditional Chinese culture with modern technology in its designs, earning global recognition. To date, Bodor Laser has won 2 German Red Dot Awards, 4 German iF Design Awards, and the prestigious Chinese Red Star Design Award.

Leveraging its technological advantages and brand influence, Bodor Laser's products now serve over 180 countries and regions worldwide. Lu Guohao stated that the company's global headquarters base will officially commence operations this year, with an expected annual output value exceeding 6 billion yuan and annual export revenue surpassing 3.5 billion yuan. As a leading enterprise in the laser cutting industry, Bodor Laser will continue to drive the expansion and development of China's high-end intelligent equipment in the global market.
