1. Long time without capacitive calibration:
Capacitive sensor calibration is an important step to ensure accurate system following. If the capacitive calibration has not been performed for a long time, the error between the sensor's measured capacitance value and the actual height can increase, affecting the precise distance between the laser nozzle and the workpiece, leading to a deviation in the following height. Therefore, regular capacitive calibration can help prevent errors caused by calibration failure.
2. Failure to recalibrate after replacing the capacitive sensor:
When replacing the capacitive sensor or related components, the new sensor may have different performance characteristics compared to the old one. If recalibration is not performed, the system cannot accurately adjust to the new sensor's working characteristics, which can result in a significant deviation in the following height. Therefore, recalibration is required every time the sensor or components are replaced to ensure the system functions correctly.
3. Laser scattering affecting the capacitive sensor:
During the laser processing, some of the laser light may scatter onto the capacitive sensor, causing the sensor’s response to become abnormal, especially when the nozzle temperature is high. Increased nozzle temperature may lead to inaccurate measurements by the sensor, affecting the following height. To avoid this issue, it is necessary to regularly check if the sensor lens is clean and ensure that no dirt or dust is present, preventing the laser from deviating from its intended path.
4. Air blowing causing significant capacitance value changes:
In some laser systems, air blowing is used for cooling or cleaning the surface, but if the gas is not clean or contains moisture, it may cause significant changes in the capacitance value detected by the sensor. This variation can affect the system's height detection and adjustment. Ensuring that the air used for blowing is dry and pure can effectively prevent errors caused by poor gas quality, ensuring the following accuracy.
