- Jen 2023-07-01- In my experience it is the machine, diode lasers are not that precise and on power up, they move themselves, and those movements are not acknowledged by the machine. I have even gone as far as physically making sure the head is in the very corner after start-up so it is where it thinks it is and had issues. My workaround is I use a box around whatever I cut. I make the box the same dimensions as whatever I am cutting or burning. then I move the laser to the corner of the material and make sure that lighburn shows it is at the corner of the box. the burn is relative to the box so I can repeat it over and over. it’s nice in case you bump it or need to move it out of the way to retrieve material. the larger machines are more like CNC machines these diode lasers are not, unfortuneatly. 0Responder
