Recently, Jenoptik, a leading German company in the field of optoelectronics, announced that the group successfully won multiple automation solution orders worth over 17 million euros in the second quarter of 2024.
It is revealed that these orders originated from a first tier OEM supplier (unnamed) and were delivered by Prodomax, an automation expert under the group.

As a member of the Yina Group (acquired by Yina in 2018), Prodomax will be responsible for producing automatic welding systems for steel structural components, including bumpers, body side components, and body components. These systems will be partially applied to emerging electric vehicle (EV) platforms in the North American market.

It is reported that the delivery plan for customers in the United States and Mexico will start in the second quarter of 2025 and is expected to be fully completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Dr. Stefan Traeger, President and CEO of Jenoptik, stated, "These orders not only further consolidate Prodomax's position as a strategic optimization partner for the automotive and automation business, but also highlight the outstanding performance of our solutions. But more importantly, Barrie's team has successfully assisted our clients in achieving optimization in automation system integration, process automation, and quality control through their professional skills and relentless efforts."

Prodomax is headquartered in Barry, Ontario, Canada. The company utilizes mature industry technology and strong robot design and engineering best practices to tailor automotive parts production lines to meet their unique personnel, quality, and quantity requirements.

The company has over 52 years of experience in the automotive industry, focusing on the design, engineering, and turnkey integration of automated manufacturing solutions for OEMs and first tier car manufacturers. Its clients include well-known car companies such as Honda, Volkswagen, Ford, BMW, Mercedes, General Motors, Toyota, Nissan, and Fiat Chrysler.

In order to significantly improve output speed without sacrificing accuracy, Prodomax cleverly integrates the latest laser welding and cutting technologies and applies them to the field of automated manufacturing. This innovative measure not only brings unprecedented high precision and speed to automobile manufacturers, but also ensures accuracy in the production process, while greatly expanding the capacity scale of production workshops.
In Prodomax's automotive production system, laser welding and laser cutting technologies have been widely applied. Especially in key processes such as cutting hydraulic formed pipes and automotive body panels, these systems demonstrate excellent performance and efficiency.

As a global optoelectronic group, Jenoptik's core business covers optical technology, with two major departments: advanced photon solutions and intelligent mobile solutions. Its business covers multiple major markets, including semiconductors and electronics, life sciences and medical technology, and intelligent transportation.

Jenoptik Group is headquartered in Jena, Germany and has approximately 4600 employees. It is listed on the German Stock Exchange in Frankfurt and trades in the MDax and TecDax indices. In the fiscal year 2023, Jenoptik achieved revenue of 1.066 billion euros.

In addition, the executive team of Yina is full of confidence in future performance, and it is expected that the company's sales will increase by about 5% this year, laying a solid foundation for achieving the goal of breaking through 1.2 billion euros by 2025.

Yena has carefully crafted Opticline CA, AMV, and WMS series optical measurement systems, which are designed specifically for automated production. They can be easily and smoothly integrated into your automated production process with advanced intelligent hardware and optimized software interfaces. What is even more commendable is that even in harsh production environments, these systems can still provide high-precision and reliable measurement results, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the production process.

It is worth noting that its main new production factory in Dresden is about to be completed, and its shipment volume is expected to significantly increase the company's sales. After nearly 100 million euros of investment, the construction of the factory is expected to be fully completed by the end of June, and production of micro optics and sensor products will begin in early 2025.

Given the current high backlog of orders and strong momentum in the core optoelectronic business, particularly in the semiconductor equipment field, Yina is optimistic about further achieving profit growth this year. Despite the high cost of relocating some businesses to the new Dresden location, management firmly believes that profit margins will remain stable as revenue continues to grow.
