Solution for incorrect double head mutual movement of CO2 laser cutting and engraving control system

Caspar

When the CO2 laser cutting and engraving control system experiences abnormal double head mutual movement, the following steps can be followed for troubleshooting and handling:

1. Check whether the A/B laser output ports are connected incorrectly
Confirm that the laser output ports for head A and head B are wired correctly in the control system. If the laser signal lines or control ports are reversed, it may cause logical misalignment between the two heads, resulting in incorrect reciprocal movement direction or abnormal laser output. You can test head A and head B individually to verify whether the laser firing and motion correspond correctly, and then correct the wiring if necessary.

2. Enable XYZ axis homing when activating dual-head reciprocal mode
The dual-head reciprocal function relies on an accurate coordinate reference. Before enabling this function, ensure that the XYZ axes complete automatic homing at startup, properly locating their respective origins and establishing a unified coordinate system. If homing is not performed, coordinate offsets may occur, causing the two heads to move along mismatched paths and resulting in misalignment.

3. Consider the impact of array, mirroring, or offset processing on graphic data
When graphics are mirrored, arrayed, or offset during layout, the underlying graphic data changes and the system recalculates the toolpath accordingly. In such cases, dual-head reciprocal mode may not be the optimal processing method and could lead to asymmetrical paths or reduced efficiency. It is recommended to recheck the layout data and, if necessary, switch to dual-head independent processing mode to ensure machining accuracy and efficiency.
