When using RDVisionWorks large format software, if there is a problem of edge lifting and inability to output normally, it can usually be investigated and resolved from the following aspects:

 

1. Parameter error, no black border
   If the parameters are set incorrectly during edge detection, the software may fail to recognize the black border, which prevents the edge from being properly detected. This typically happens when the black border settings are not correctly configured, causing the detection algorithm to fail. Solution: Check the image border settings to ensure the black border parameters are correct, particularly the width of the black border and the contrast at the edges.

 

2. Incorrect edge detection parameters
   The success of edge detection largely depends on the correct parameter settings. If parameters such as border width, threshold, or angle range are incorrectly set, the software may fail to detect the image edges properly. This is especially problematic in large format images, where the edges might be difficult to recognize due to scanning accuracy or image feature blur. Solution: Adjust the edge detection parameters, especially threshold and grayscale levels, to better suit the specific characteristics of the image.

 

3. Incorrect parameter tuning
   When using RDVisionWorks software, edge detection parameters may need to be fine-tuned to achieve optimal results. If the tuning process is not done correctly or if the effects of parameter combinations are not fully understood, edge detection can fail. Solution: Gradually adjust parameters such as contrast, brightness, and threshold for the specific image, optimizing the edge detection process step by step.

 

4. Parameter adjustment misalignment
   If parameters are adjusted in the wrong order or if the interactions between parameters are not fully considered, the edge detection may fail or yield suboptimal results. For example, if edge extraction precision is adjusted but other parameters are not updated accordingly, the entire detection process may misalign. Solution: Ensure the coordination between parameters, especially when adjusting edge extraction precision. Adjust other related parameters based on the specific characteristics of the image and check for any conflicts or errors in settings.
