Oh my god, is it caused by a short circuit? Or is it because of poor heat dissipation

  : I upgraded from a cheap GRBL 2W to a totally rebuilt monstrosity and finally added an 80W diode. I was still getting used to the serious heat output of the new diode. The old diode would hardly ignite a match. The rubber didn't stand a chance against the new one. When the power scale got to the upper power ranges and slow speeds...Poof! And I was using plywood to space the work up to the focal point. I'll be using ceramics and cement board going forward.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience in the feasibility of feeding argon through the air assist nozzle?
