Why does LB break up lines into 2mm segments in gcode?

I’m troubleshooting a rotary issue but also found this in normal x/y generated g-code. Take a 30mm line and LB will break it into 15 lines of G1 commands of 2mm each or some approximation as it occasionally decides to work in decimal precisions.
Why not just G1 X30?

      Assuming you don’t have perforation mode or tabs/bridges on I assume this is due to a setting on Smoothieware devices.
Check if you have “Reduce Smoothieware pause delay” enabled. Disable this and retest to see if that changes the behavior.
